Breaking down in the wild

One night we broke down. Mum heard noises close by and, shining her spotlight, saw a large pride of lion a few yards away. Dad got into the cab as quickly as possible. She told us through the communication hole to be as quiet as we could and to not quarrel and that, if we wished to urinate, we were to use an old tin can behind my seat and not to attempt to empty it. It was a miserable night. The following morning, the lion moved out of sight, no doubt to some waterhole, and Dad was able to work on the truck. It was a big job and took all day.
